Bond Tokenization with FeverTokens

Bonds are among the most natural candidates for tokenization. Their cash flows are predictable, their terms are standardized, and their settlement processes are notoriously slow. A typical corporate bond settles in T+2 through a chain of custodians, clearing houses, and central securities depositories. A tokenized bond settles atomically on-chain, with coupon payments distributed automatically at each payment date through smart contract logic.

The FeverTokens bond tokenization stack models the full lifecycle of a fixed-income instrument. At issuance, the smart contract encodes the bond's terms: face value, coupon rate, payment frequency, maturity date, and day count convention. The compliance layer enforces investor eligibility — qualified institutional buyers, accredited investors, or retail depending on the jurisdiction and exemption. Each coupon date triggers an on-chain distribution event that calculates the accrued interest and transfers stablecoins or wrapped fiat to each holder's address proportionally.

At maturity, the redemption facet handles the return of principal. For callable or puttable bonds, additional facets implement the option logic, allowing the issuer or holder to exercise their rights within the contractually defined windows. Throughout the bond's life, the identity and compliance layers ensure that every transfer respects the applicable regulations, and that the issuer maintains a real-time view of the cap table.
