GLEIF / vLEI

GLEIF & Digital
Identity

Implementing the vLEI trust chain for verifiable organizational identity. Building the ePN-FR infrastructure to bring cryptographically verifiable legal entity credentials to France.

vLEI Trust Chain

The vLEI ecosystem establishes a hierarchical chain of trust, from GLEIF as the root authority down to individual authorized representatives.

L0
Governance & Authorization

Root of Trust

GLEIF

The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation serves as the root of trust, governing the LEI system and authorizing Qualified vLEI Issuers.

L1
Credential Issuance

Qualified vLEI Issuer

QVI (e.g., FeverTokens)

Qualified vLEI Issuers are authorized by GLEIF to issue vLEI credentials to legal entities. They undergo rigorous qualification and maintain ongoing compliance.

L2
Identity Holder

Legal Entity

Organization

Organizations receive their Legal Entity vLEI Credential (LE vLEI), cryptographically binding their LEI to a verifiable digital identity.

L3
Delegated Authority

Authorized Representative

Person (OOR / ECR)

Individuals acting on behalf of the organization receive Official Organizational Role (OOR) or Engagement Context Role (ECR) credentials.

Trust flows downward / Verification flows upward

ePN-FR: The French vLEI Ecosystem

The electronic Person Network for France (ePN-FR) is the operational framework through which FeverTokens, as a Qualified vLEI Issuer, brings verifiable digital identity to French legal entities.

01

LEI Registration

The legal entity obtains or validates its LEI (Legal Entity Identifier) through the standard GLEIF registration process.

02

QVI Qualification

FeverTokens, as a Qualified vLEI Issuer (QVI), is authorized by GLEIF to issue verifiable LEI credentials within the French jurisdiction.

03

Identity Verification

The QVI performs due diligence and identity verification of the legal entity and its authorized representatives using KERI-based protocols.

04

vLEI Credential Issuance

Verifiable LEI credentials are issued using ACDC (Authentic Chained Data Containers) over the KERI protocol, creating a tamper-evident digital identity.

05

Role Credential Delegation

OOR and ECR credentials are issued to authorized individuals, enabling them to sign documents and transact on behalf of the organization with cryptographic proof.

06

Ongoing Verification

Credentials are continuously verifiable by any third party through the KERI witness network, without requiring direct contact with the issuer.

Standards Compliance

Our vLEI implementation adheres to a rigorous set of international standards governing identity, credentials, and data integrity.
